Pitesti – A Multicultural City
PITESTI is a multicultural city (Greek, French communities), located in the central-southern part of Romania, at 100 km from Bucharest, the capital of Romania.

Getting into Pitesti
For transport from Henri Coanda Airport Bucharest to Pitesti, we usually recommend private transport, booked by us, because it is easier, faster and more comfortable for all participants. The car costs 60 EUR / one way. The cost will be divided by the number of passengers. Your private car will take you from the airport directly to the location you indicated in Pitesti. For reservation, ask the Erasmus Office before your departure.
Another option would be a taxi from the airport (it could be a little expensive), or bus no. 780 which reaches the North Railway Station in Bucharest. Then you will take the train to Pitesti. If you want to get to Bucharest city centre from the airport to visit it, you will take bus 783. For the tickets you must pay in Romanian currency – RON

The main mean of transport in Pitesti is the bus. A one-way ticket costs 2 lei; it can be purchased from the Ticket Machines in the bus stations around the city.
