The University of Pitesti awards: Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD’s degrees
– A Bachelor’s degree is a first academic qualification and allows professional employment. For those wishing to obtain further qualifications, it can be followed immediately or after a few years of professional experience by a Master’s degree.
– A Master’s degree can be followed by doctoral studies.
Bachelor’s programmes last 3 years and are worth 180 ECTS credits, while Master’s programmes last 1 or 2 years and are worth 60 or 120 credit points.
Studies at the University of Pitesti are organized and implemented in the framework of the Bologna declaration.
- The Bachelor program is completed in six/eight semesters (3/4 academic years)
- Master Programme is completed in 4 semesters (1.5 academic years)
- Doctoral programme degree (PhD) is completed in 3 academic years
Course attendance might be compulsory (50-100%) for some of the course units. Students are expected to participate actively and attend class regularly. Students are usually required to take a final examination which can be in written form or through oral assessment, depending on the course. Attendance, assignments and class participation are also considered part of the final mark.
