The Centre for International Relations (CpRI) is a support structure subordinated to the Vice-Rector for International Relations and was established as a result of the Decision of the Senate of the University of Pitești, dated 18.04.2016.

CpRI is headed by a director proposed by the Vice-Rector for International Relations and appointed by the decision of the Rector of UPIT, following its approval by the Board of Directors.

The director of CpRI is subordinated to the Rector and is under the coordination of the Vice-Rector for International Relations, according to the UPIT organizational chart approved by the Board of Directors on 13.04.2016 andbythe Senate on 18.04.2016.

The fundamental mission of CpRI is to actively participate in creating and consolidating a culture of internationalization of UPIT activities by developing international cooperation, exchanging academic, scientific and socio-cultural values with international institutions in ordertoincreasethevisibility of UPIT internationally and strengthen its position in the European academic space (EHEA)and on an international scale.

CpRI’s mission is to promote internationally the academic principles and values of UPIT, contributing to the implementation of the university’s internationalization strategy, international programs and projects and academic and professional mobilities .

CpRI has the following organizational structures:

  • ERASMUS + Office (BE +) composed of an Erasmus Mobility Coordinator, three international relations referents and representatives of the Academic Departments within UPIT;
  • THE OFFICE OF INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS (BSI) composed of an Office coordinator, a Referent / secretary and representatives of the academic department, which organizes the study program for the preparatory programme of Romanian language;
  • THE FRANCOPHONIE BUREAU (BFR) composed of an Office coordinator, a referent / secretary and francophone representatives of the academic faculties / departments of UPIT.
